A Fresh Start with Liquid Soap!
A local support group has found a new way to earn a living by making liquid soap. With the help of KidsCare Kenya, the group learned how to make soap through simple training sessions.
The money they earn helps them buy food, school items, and other basic needs. The group is proud of what they have achieved so far and feel hopeful about the future.
“This soap-making has given me something to smile about,” said one member. “I can now support my child, even in small ways.”
The journey has just begun, but already, this simple activity is changing lives one bottle of soap at a time.
Most members are caregivers of children with special needs or vulnerable backgrounds, committed to start something that could bring income to their families.
After practicing and improving their skills, the group began producing liquid soap. At first, they made small amounts for their own use and to share with friends and neighbors. Now, they have taken a big step forward by selling their soap to the local market and nearby households.
