A Unique Story of Change!
Just months ago, this Mazunguni family lived in a tiny makuti hut with leaking walls and a roof that could not keep out the rain. Life felt uncertain and unsafe.
Through the Mazunguni Farmers’ Group and KidsCare Kenya’s cash transfer under the Community-Based Homecare and Beekeeping Program and with the guidance of a social worker, they chose not just survival but progress. Encouraged to think beyond quick fixes, they started a small grocery business selling vegetables, sardines, and household items. Gradually, they saved and invested in a dream that once felt out of reach.
Today, that dream proudly stands tall: a sturdy home roofed with iron sheets a true symbol of hope, resilience, and opportunity. For the family, this transformation is more than just walls and a roof. In their own words: “With all our hearts, we thank KidsCare Kenya. ”You gave us more than money you gave us hope. From that small start, we now have a business and a safe home. Our children can sleep peacefully, and we can plan for tomorrow. May God bless you for changing our lives”
More than a house, it is proof that with guidance, determination, and support, lasting change is possible.
